What a great day for a wedding - May 3rd, 2008
This past weekend we had a wedding at Laguna Gloria. It was the perfect day for one too! You could not have asked for better weather. This was definitely a wedding to remember. Not to mention a guest to remember! The Bride and Groom were taking pictures as their guests enjoyed appetizers and wine. To get the crowed moving towards the buffet line, I kindly asked them to follow one of my assistants. I went up to a very tall man to ask him to follow the crowd. He towered over me and when I looked up, I noticed that it was Peyton Manning! I reached for my cell phone and imediately called my husband to tell him the news! He was so jealous.
The guests had such a great time. The guests dinned on food provided by 34th Street and danced to the always entertaining Newsboyz. I had worked with Newsboyz for years before starting my own business. They are always such a pleasure to work with.
The flowers were simple and beautiful. They were provided by Morgan Jackson and Simply Abundant Blooms. I had discovered Morgan on a whim while looking for an affordable florist for a Bride I had last December. I recommend her to all of my clients. She is versitle, affordable and great to work with!
Kevin and Lindsay were so fun to work with. Even though Kevin kept calling me Amber. I told him it was fine as long as it was not a negative name!
The fun part was the surprise Kevin had for Lindsay. He was in charge of their getaway car. He arranged for a horse drawn carriage to pick them up and take them to their house about 2 miles away. When the carriage arrive, it’s driver asked me to round up some burly men to help her get over a steep hill in route to their destination. I don’t think that she realized that the party had been going on for a few hours now and that there was drinking involved. I had one of my interns escort them to the hill, where the horse had no problem getting over. She had some interesting stories to tell when she returned.
It was the perfect day for a wedding!

Hi Amanda,
Thanks for all your help last Saturday! You and your team made everything go very smoothly for us as the band as well as for all the guests. We rarely play receptions where the actual timelines match the written ones! Good luck with your future events!
