Wedding Program Ideas
No matter what design you choose for your programs, there are certain elements that are included in traditional programs.
- The full names of the bride and groom, the wedding date, and the city and state where the wedding is taking place.
- Traditional Ceremony basics, including the musical selections (lyrics if they’re especially meaningful to you), the composers and performers, as well as a list of readings, the authors, and the names of the readers.
- Wedding party names and the name of the officiant should be included.
- A thank-you note to both sets of parents and one to all the guests is a frequent addition.
- For religious and non-religious ceremonies alike, it’s important to keep guests in the know by listing traditions, rituatl, and ethic customs.
- If you wish to honor deceased loved ones, you can include a memorial on the back page with a photograph, a fond memory, poem, or quote.
